Built in 1914 this wonderful "Indiano Mansion" is a real architectural gem. It occupies an enviable seafront position and overlooks the fine sandy beach of Santa Marina in Ribadesella, one of northern Spain's finest!

Set in a well maintained garden with direct access to the promenade and beach, the hotel has been immaculately restored keeping its original style, including its fine cherry-wood staircase, whilst contemporary additions ensure that all modern needs are catered for.

The seventeen bedrooms in the main house are very comfortable, beautifully decorated and well equipped. The rooms with the sea views are particularly enticing, the sound of the waves lulling you to sleep at night.

The hotel's restaurant serves an excellent buffet breakfast and boasts a Michelin-starred chef, providing fine dining at lunch and dinner.

Ribadesella is a popular destination for Spanish holiday makers, its Asturian gastronomy being one of the main attractions. A good choice of bars and restaurants can be found nearby with many more in the old town, a pleasant twenty-minute walk along the front.

With the Picos de Europa close by and the stunning Asturian coast, with its string of fishing villages and coves to explore, you'll truly be spoilt for choice and the helpful and caring staff do their very best to help you get the most out of your stay and make sure that your stay is a memorable one.

N.B. The hotel has a modern annex across the road behind the main 'palace' building. Here there are an additional sixteen contemporary bedrooms, which are a little more economical but share the same facilities as the main hotel. Pets are also allowed in the annex but not in the main building.

Six of the double bedrooms have full sea views. Others have partial sea views and others have garden views.
The rooms with sea views are more spacious and also have bathrobes and slippers.
In the modern annex, there are sixteen double/twin bedrooms, distributed on three floors, all with ensuite bathrooms and modern and functional in design.

Ribadesella, North Spain

Ribadesella, a small fishing town and popular seaside resort, flanked by two grassy headlands, with the Picos mountains as a backdrop, lies at the mouth of the Rio Sella in Eastern Asturias.

Its lovely beach, Playa Santa Marina, with its kilometre long promenade, lined with elegant late C19th and C20th "Indiano" mansions, is washed by the Cantabrian sea. Providing bracing walks, it is linked by a bridge to the old town and fishing harbour with a marina in between.

Well known for its traditional festivities including the exciting descent of canoes on the Rio Sella in August and for its natural attractions, it is also home to the Cueva de Tito Bustillo with its amazing prehistoric paintings.

With plenty of bars and restaurants, from traditional cider houses to selective fish and seafood restaurants,
the proximity of the sea and the mountains gives you the choice of a wide variety of activities such as hiking, mountain biking, fishing, caving, horse riding and canoeing.

Within easy reach of the towns of Llanes and cider capital, Villaviciosa, the lakes at Covadonga and the Picos de Europa, it is brilliantly placed for exploring the area.
